If you’re hanging out in Piazza Sant’Oronzo, you absolutely cannot miss the Palazzo del Seggio. It’s that striking, square-shaped building with the intricate arches that looks like it’s been plucked straight out of a fantasy novel. It’s just a great place to stand in front of to get a sense of how "extra" the architecture in Lecce can get. It’s a perfect example of that ornate, over-the-top Leccese Baroque style that makes this whole city feel like a giant open-air museum.
Traveler Tips
It’s located right next to the Roman Amphitheater, so you can tick off two massive historical landmarks in about five minutes.
